Emma Stone Talks About ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Sequel And Meeting Shailene Woodley

Emma Stone

Say what you want about The Amazing Spider-Man, one thing is crystal clear – Marc Webb knows how to tell a love story. That’s why 500 Days of Summer worked so well. And that’s why his Spider-Man didn’t. But if his sequel is anything like what we saw last summer, then one thing is for sure – there will be an epic love triangle-story going on in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Emma Stone is set to reprise her role as Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s romantic interest. Shailene Woodley has been cast as Mary Jane Watson, Parker’s other romantic interest. Stone recently chatted with MTV about the upcoming sequel, and was careful not to give too much away, but did say that she’s ready to take on Woodley and fight against her for Andrew Garfield’s affection.

Stone was also asked about her character’s fate. As you may (or may not know… surprise!), Stacy dies in the comics, and it’s likely she’ll bite the dust in this coming film. Still, Stone was very careful not to say if her character will live or die. As for the script, Stone seems to like it, but that’s obviously a biased opinion.

I hated THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN! No need to see the origin of Spider-man only ten tears after the story was told te first time.

When I first heard that Mary Jane had been cast in this
movie, I got very worried about the fate of Gwen. A coworker at DISH and I have
been debating whether or not she would survive for months now. It would be
shocking to see her die so soon, and the lack of the Green Goblin seems to
increase her chances for this movie. The wait to find out for sure is going to
be very hard, to pass the time; I have been watching everything Spiderman using
Blockbuster @Home from DISH. With my really busy work schedule, I love that I can
just put the movies on my cue and get them delivered in the mail. But it’s also
nice that when I watch them quickly, I can exchange them in a Blockbuster
store. Watching the movies again, I have confidence that this sequel will be a
drastic improvement. With Electro, Mary Jane, Harry, and the possibility of
Gwen’s death, it definitely has raised the stakes.

I know I’m supposed to just ignore these, but damn dish, you suck at this. You really need to fire whoever is writing these.
