The new trailer for The Iceman, starring Michael Shannon as real-life killer Richard Kuklinski, isn’t a whole lot different from the first one we saw back in August. Though, I’ve come to the conclusion that, in this movie, Shannon looks a lot like Emilio Rivera (the actor who plays Marcus Alvarez in Sons of Anarchy).
Directed by Ariel Vromen, the film is inspired by actual events about the life of notorious contract killer Richard Kuklinski, who murdered more than 100 people between 1964 and 1986. He appears to be living the American dream as a devoted husband and father, but in reality Kuklinski was a ruthless killer-for-hire. When finally arrested in 1986, neither his wife nor daughters had any clue about his real profession.
The film stars Michael Shannon, Winona Ryder, Chris Evans, Ray Liotta, David Schwimmer, Robert Davi, Danny Abeckaser, Stephen Dorff and James Franco.
In the clip we get to see a little more Ryder, whose voice still sounds like her character in Beetlejuice, especially when she says, “I didn’t know I was suppose to be afraid.” We also see some more of Franco, who is basically begging Shannon not to take his life.
The Iceman hits theaters in a limited release on May 3. Check out the new trailer below:
