Hugh Jackman was asked about his role in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and he was as tight-lipped about it as you’d except.  Spoiler alert: he plays Wolverine.  But he did have positive things to say about the cast, which includes Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Halle Berry, Michael Fassbender, and Patrick Stewart.

“You wouldn’t have enough room on the page after you’ve listed them all.”

Jackman quips:

“Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it.”

Jackman reveals (more-or-less):

“There’s an element of time travel and, naturally, it will be action-packed.”

Sounds great. Let’s pack a ton of characters in a X-men movie because that always seems to work out well.

If only they would stick to the sorce material. What harm is there in that?!?!?!?!

I agree, they should make one that sticks to the source material. The 90′s cartoon paid more homage to the source material than any X-Men film. The films were fun, imo, but not GREAT. They could be GREAT. y’know? LIke REALLY GREAT.

his point is X-Men Last Stand. There were mutants in that one that I had to look up and I’m a huge X-Men geek. I think as long as they keep them recognizable, they will be fine. Even First Class had 2nd (or 3rd Tier) mutants like the second Angel.

Even the source material was an amalgamation of other artists and writers creations. Everything in (mainstream) superhero comics/movie is a re-hash, it matters how well they execute that re-hash. And I don’t think you can compare a cartoon (MADE FOR KIDS) to movies that adults go to the theater to see.
