The first official images of “Kick-Ass 2,” were released last week featuring the two leads: Jim Carrey and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Though this was the image that excited fans of the ultra-violent superhero feature, there was one main character that was conspicuously missing.
Now, being released through Empire, stills of Chloe Moretz’s Hit-Girl has just surfaced. Described by Mark Millar as the “Empire Strikes Back” of the franchise, it seems that these street heroes will band to form a crime-fighting league called Justice Forever. It is only a matter of time before we know what horror will befall the lead protagonists.
Also appearing will be Donald Faison and John Leguizamo; Nic Cage is rumored to be coming back as well. There will be a new change of direction, from Matthew Vaughn to Jeff Wadlow whose best known for “Cry Wolf” and “Never Back Down.” “Kick-Ass 2” is slated to be released June 2013.
