Warner Horizon to Return to Oz with ‘Red Brick Road’

3563.originalWarner Horizon Television has acquired Red Brick Road from producers Roy Lee and Adrian Askarieh. The TV show is designed as a sequel of sorts to The Wizard of Oz, but with more of a sci-fi angle. For example, the Tin Woodsman is now a robot.

The “dark and edgy” show was created by artist Rob Prior and will be executive produced by Lee with Mark Wolper through Vertigo Entertainment.

John Middelton, Jeff Krelitz and Askarieh (through his Prime Universe) will also exec produce.

What do you think? Do you want to revisit an Oz with a sci-fi twist?
