Michael Mann is set to direct his first feature since his 2009 John Dillinger biopic Public Enemies. The untitled thriller is set up at Legendary Pictures and will star Thor‘s Chris Hemsworth.
In addition to directing Mann has also co-written the screenplay with Morgan David Foehl.
Nothing is really known about the plot other than the film is a thriller that “takes place in a world of cyber threats and attacks.”
Hemsworth was scheduled to shoot Steven Spielberg’s Robopacalypse this spring, but that got pushed back indefinitely. Shooting on Mann’s film is scheduled to start in June, after which Hemsworth will move onto In the Heart of the Sea.
