One of the most famous video game franchises will be back on screen; not so much as a video game, movie, or television show, but on the web.
“Mortal Kombat,” the game that brought spine-ripping, spleen-bursting and a variety of other gory, over-the-top fight moves is coming back for another season on the internet. It began as a short film directed by Kevin Tancharoen, and later was shopped to Warner Brothers as a film. The studio refused, probably due to the bad reception initial cinematic forays received, and the idea made its way on the internet.
This will be the second season of the show and looks to introduce more popular character with their trademark martial arts moves. For now, fans of the series can view the trailer to sample what will come next.
