2012 was an awful year for Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch. It was bomb after bomb after bomb. John Carter, Battleship and Savages all failed to impress. But the actor is not giving up.
Bloody Disgusting has the exclusive word that Kitsch will lead Julian Jarrold’s Exit 147, a horror-thriller about a man driving across the desert at night who is arrested by a small town sheriff and held captive as part of his own sadistic game. Kitsch will play the sheriff.
The script is being written by Travis Milloy (Pandorum). Jarrold previously directed Red Riding 1974, a fantastic English TV movie about a young reporter (Andrew Garfield) trying to find information on a series of missing girls.
Exit 147 seems like something right up Jarrold’s alley. Hopefully this new project can work to Kitsch’s advantage.
