‘The Wolverine’: New Image Featuring Hugh Jackman

A cool new still featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine has hit the web.

While we patiently await for James Mangold to hit us with a teaser trailer of the film, a new photo was released via Twitter. The image was accompanied by these words: “The past is always behind you, but the memories still remain.”

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

The Wolverine opens in theaters on July 26th. The film also stars Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

The new image shows an angry Wolverine looking over his shoulder. The bright blue light behind him also adds a hint of mystery to the whole photo. Check it out:
