Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot is getting retouched by Dark Shadows‘ scribe Seth Grahame-Smith. The film is being directed by Chronicle‘s Josh Trank.
Recently it was also announced that Matthew Vaughn would be producing the reboot. The studio hopes to release the film by March 2015.
The original script was written by Jeremy Slater. According to THR, this new version is “taking a grounded superhero and sci-fi approach to the heroes and will tap deep into the comics mythology, which featured not just the better-known villains such as Doctor Doom and Galactus but also alien races the Kree and the Skrull, and the anti-matter universe known as the Negative Zone.”
Grahame-Smith started out as a novelist. He penned the best-selling novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and later transition into screenplays.
