3rd Trailer for “Oz the Great and Powerful” is out!

Oz The Great And Powerful

Apple has the third trailer for: Oz, The Great and Powerful. Starring James Franco as Oz, with Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis will play the wicked Witches of the East and West. Zach Braff (Our beloved J.D. from Scrubs) has a supporting role.

Directed by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead and Spiderman 2…And 1, but the second one was better), the film explores the origins of the former magician from Kansas who would later become the Wizard of Emerald City.

Here is the trailer:

The CGI winged monkeys fail to impress.

I’m a sucker for practical effects because no matter how great the special effects look, it only takes a Blu-Ray viewing to wipe the experience away.

Movies pride themselves on and strive to be, timeless. What good is it to devote so much energy to Computer-generated imagery when they ill be outdated in fifteen years? Go watch Avatar in fifteen years and tell me what you think. James Cameron please don’t kill me.

Trailer #3 and I’m still not excited about this movie. I just don’t buy James Franco as the wizard of anything.

    Well that’s easy.
In fifteen years, they’ll be digitally re-mastered and re-released in super-ultra-High-Def Holo-vision special edition.

Looks like a decent enough prequel to Wizard of OZ, but I hope the original film gets a reboot inline with this.

Do we really have to watch a fifty second advert to see a fifty five second trailer?????

I hope that every copy of that lousy film gets burned.

The only worthwhile parts of that film were Ray Bolger and Bert Lahr.

Anyone who’s actually read the original book can list so much that was wrong with that thing.

…and very little that was good.

The only more overrated films i’ve ever seen are “Gone with the Wind” and “It’s a Wonderful Life”.
