“The Wolverine” Director Tweets New Set Photo

The Wolverine

James Mangold, director of “The Wolverine” has released a new behind the scenes photo of the set from his twitter account.

After crediting his set designer, Mangold says in his tweet,

“There’s a world through that blast hole.”

I’m curious to see what created the “blast hole” and what’s inside. Tell us your thoughts in the comments.

I’ve been following this movie since Darren Aronofsky was attached to direct. That didn’t work out but Mangold meshes well with this gig when you look at his past body of work. He directed a pleasing action flick in 3:10 to Yuma and did a solid biographical job with Walk The Line. His experience directing Russell Crowe in 3:10 to Yuma and Joaquin Phoenix in Walk the Line is just what the doctor ordered for the action/biographical story The Wolverine.

I love it when directors release set photos via twitter. Who will be the first to release one via instagram I wonder?

This isn’t the first time Mangold has tweeted new set photos.

On Saturday the veteran tweeter released this photo of Jackman that belongs on the set of Michael Bay’s Pain & Gain.

Last Wednesday he released this photo of Jackman near a blue orb.

Synopsis

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with admantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

This may sound stupid… There isn’t any sign of blast marks and the rubble moves inwards. Wolverine looks ready to jump through it. Any news of The Hulk being in this!?
