Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new poster for Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming robots-versus-kaiju epic film “Pacific Rim.” The new poster features the Japanese Jaeger “Coyote Tango.”

The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day.

From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro comes Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ sci-fi action adventure “Pacific Rim.” When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot and an untested trainee who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Have a look at the new poster below.

“Pacific Rim” will hit theaters on July 12, 2013.

    Wow.

You guys aren’t even really trying anymore, are you?
It’s right there on the poster.

Is that new Coyote “Tang” flavor more smoother or less Tangy like that last crappy flavor they released?
Curious minds would love to know.

Especially John Glenn and Buzz Aldrin.

Posters look great! Though in a time of human war with giant Monsters, how come theyre labelling these robots like theyre wrestlers of some kind of Reel Steel tournament? But still, cool designs. As close as we’ll get to a Battletech film I think, and to a Godzilla film in the style of the more recent Godzilla films.

I got to see this this last weekend and shook hands with Guillermo Del Toro. The movie was okay. It was a fun movie for those who are looking for a “Transformers VS Godzilla” romp around Hong Kong. The scripting/characters/stereotypes were pretty much on par with Independence Day or Armageddon. About a 6/10. Lots of fun, but lots of plot holes and a weak story.

    Actually, YOU are also wrong.

The correct form would simply be “smoother”. Not “more smooth”.

“More smooth” is not the correct comparative form.
