Michael Pena will re-team with his End Of Watch director David Ayer for Fury. He’ll play a drunk butcher who drives Brad Pitt around while under the influence of alcohol.
Fury is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman are also set to co-star.
Production is set to begin in September 2013 and Columbia plans to release Fury on November 14, 2014.
Pena previously starred in Ruben Fleischer’s Gangster Squad. He’ll next appear in DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo and David O. Russell’s American Hustle.
