‘The Nut Job’ Teaser Trailer

Open Road Films has released the teaser trailer for The Nut Job featuring the voice talents of Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Liam Neeson, Katherine Heigl, Stephen Lang, Sarah Gadon, and Jeff Dunham.

Film is due out in theaters on January 17, 2014.

The Nut Job is an action-packed animated comedy in fictional Oakton that follows the travails of Surly (voiced by Will Arnett), a mischievous squirrel, and his rat friend Buddy, who plan a nut store heist of outrageous proportions and unwittingly find themselves embroiled in a much more complicated and hilarious adventure.

    I notice a lot of animated trailers these days use the same yellow/orange titles over white (since Despicable Me probably). I’m surprised they didn’t have the other typical thing of the gang of small mascots that runs across the screen when they show the title.

    Storyline

    After being banished to the city, the mischievous Surly Squirrel
    plans a nut store heist of outrageous proportions and gets caught up in a
    convoluted bank heist.

    Surly, a curmudgeon, independent squirrel is banished from his park
    and forced to survive in the city. Lucky for him, he stumbles on the one
    thing that may be able to save his life, and the rest of park
    community, as they gear up for winter – Maury’s Nut Store.
