Stephen Frears’ Lance Armstrong biopic doesn’t have a titled yet, but filming recently began and there’s already a first look at star Ben Foster in the title role. Check it out below.
The film also stars Chris O’Dowd as Irish sports journalist David Walsh, who exposed Lance Armstrong while at the same time following Armstrong’s battle with cancer and subsequent fall from grace after being exposed taking performance enhancing drugs, which helped lead him to win the Tour de France, a (then) record seven consecutive times from 1999-2005.
Jesse “Meth Damon” Plemons, of Friday Night Lights and Breaking Bad fame, and Guillaume Canet will also appear. John Hodge, best known for his work with Danny Boyle, wrote the screenplay, and shooting should continue for the next few months into the early spring.
