Did you stay for the after-credits sequence at the end of “Paranormal Activity 3″? If so, you might’ve noticed that the series was eluding to a new, intriguing chapter in the franchise’s saga.

Many people incorrectly assumed that the series was moving to Mexico, but instead it’s shifting gears to Oxnard, California. The story will center on a Mexican-American family, where a teenage boy finds himself becoming possessed. Some of what is shown here looks like they’re trying to bring in an almost “Chronicle” angle to the story- with the main character using his powers to fend off attackers.

See for yourself. And keep an eye out, too, for the spin-off’s connection to the previous films. This next installment of the found footage series comes to theaters on January 3rd.

Garbage. Fucking Hollywood. They can’t leave well enough alone. They go for what’s safe, when they have the opportunity to tell new stories.

I can’t wait!!! Yes, I enjoy the Paranormal films. They are the only found footage films that I continuously enjoy, other than Chronicle and Cloverfield. I will say I don’t know how this will fare compared to the regular series, but it still looks good to me.

    Sheesh.

    Waste of money!

This is a franchise that’s gotten progressively worse. Hollywood needs to learn how to leave shit alone.

Sequels and remakes are SO overrated and lessen whatever strip of respect anyone may have towards any kind of “creativity” Tinsel Town has left.
