A new international poster and a new photo are now online for the upcoming RoboCop remake starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The film was directed by José Padilha from a screenplay written by Josh Zetumer, and Nick Schenk.

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

Have a look at the International poster and new photo below and let us know what you think.

RoboCop hits theaters on February 12, 2014.

The picture on top I can get behind – that’s RoboCop to me – why they decided to go with the black outfit is beyond comprehension – it looks like a cheep toy. Still have high hopes though – I grew up on RoboCop and don’t want to see the franchise killed before it gets out of the gate.

Remember Robocop? … He’s back! …in rubber power ranger form.

The black isn’t the problem as much as using a flat/matte black paint makes the whole thing look rubbery and cheap. If it was a metallic black like you find on any new car I doubt you’d see as much complaining. How that made it out of their art department and got approved all the way to the top is beyond me.

    I didn’t know Robocop was 6 foot 5 12 year old boy

The original Robocop is like the original Superman – irreplaceable.

The silver is so great!!! why push the black??!!?…. they have it right already

  • coolyfett

Yea the chrome look is what Robocop IS. not the black thing.

  • Bilal Khan

Hmmm, so in this version they decided to keep the arm…

Agreed. Put a batman mask on that and you have the Dark Knight.

People always have to put their own spin on costumes even if they looked great the first time. Spiderman, Superman, Batman etc. etc.
